Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a method of removing individual hairs from the face or body. Today’s medical electrolysis devices destroy the growth center of the hair with chemical or heat energy.

How it works: After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, the hair is removed with tweezers.

Unlike other methods, once the series of treatments is complete, the unwanted hair will be gone forever.

FAQ

Treatment Details

What areas can be treated?

Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis. Common areas include:

Face: Eyebrows, upper lip, chin.

Body: Abdomen, thighs, breasts, and legs.

How many sessions?

Many factors influence hair growth, so you will need to return for several visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently varies from person to person.

Most clients return once a week or every other week as needed.

Is it safe?

There are generally no permanent side effects. Sometimes a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur immediately after treatment, but this fades quickly.

Electrolysis vs. Laser

While laser treats large areas quickly, Electrolysis targets individual hairs. It is an excellent option for light-colored hairs (gray, blonde, red) that lasers cannot detect, or for precision shaping of eyebrows.
